And yet Fleetwood Mac Live, the album culled from this tour, is no triumphant experience. The group reorganized, under the leadership of Fleetwood, and slowly took on a new direction - away from the blues and into the mainstream of international popularity, known simply as Fleetwood Mac. Several songs, including Don’t Stop and Go Your Own Way were released as singles and reached the U.S.
Albums Chart and won the Grammy for Album of the Year. Released in 1977, it reached the top of both the U.S. Wonderful" & "Then Play On" the driving force of Peter Green had deteriorated as he lapsed into a personal crisis by 1970. Rumours was the 11th studio album by Fleetwood Mac and the band’s most successful. Fleetwood Mac’s tenth studio album is considered a classic by fans and critics alike, and is possibly their most essential album next to Rumours. Founded in London in July 1967 (by ex Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac instantly became a major force in the UK blues scene, along with their eponymous first album.
